although I enjoy programming, I’ve got to admit that it’s not my forte… which was why I was pleasantly surprised when I got the results through from the Java test we just did… over 70%!! I really do have to say a big thanks to Martin for the mock test he gave us. It made me realise where the holes in my revision were, and I was able to mend some of them accordingly. cheers.

November 4, 2007Hmm, well contradictory to popular belief, Java isn’t as hard as all the stories would have left me to believe! I’m pretty certain inded, that it’s to do with the way that Martin delivers the lectures, and how comprehensive his notes are. The notes give us a bit of code and then make is do the research to complete the practicals. This not only encourages self learning, but helps to make what we learn stick in our minds as well, as we’re not simply copying code that’s been handed to us. All in all, as long as you keep up with the work-load and and realise that failure will at times result, then you’re fine. A bit of hard work and a few hours to spare usually results in some working code, and all is right in the world again!
